Bonnie Lou Sweet

Bonnie Lou Sweet, age 81 of Kingsport, entered into the arms of Jesus on Friday, January 27, 2023. Bonnie was born on December 2, 1941 in Alvarado, VA to Gibson and Rosetta Grubb. On August 4, 1962, Bonnie married her most cherished friend and love of her life, Ronald Eugene Sweet, and after 51 years of a beautiful marriage and raising a family together, he preceded her in death on July 27, 2014. Bonnie loved her family. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, country music and listening to her favorite musician, Elvis. The threads of love that Bonnie sewed within her family are threads that will never fray or tear. They truly are threads of love that will lasts throughout eternity. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ronald Sweet. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Randall Sweet; daughter, Rhonda Burnette; grandchildren, Destiny, Dayley, and Caden; great grandchildren, Desiryah, Gavin, and Greyson; niece Diann Hartgrove; and many loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Carter Trent Funeral Home Kingsport from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm with Brother David Dotson officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Mountain Home Veteran’s Cemetery in Johnson City.
