Della Lou Mason King

Obituary Della Lou Mason King, 78, of Versailles, Kentucky and widow of Walter King, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. She was born on March 17, 1933 to the late David Luster and Marda Taylor Mason in Harlan County, Kentucky. Mrs. King was a homemaker and a veteran of the United States Army WACS. She attended the University of Kentucky for 4 years majoring in Art, and was also a member of Pinkard Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Michael) Edwards, Karen Scales, Debbie King, all of Lexington, Terri (Frank) Wilder and Jane King-Hart, both of Versailles; her brother and sisters, Grant Mason, Radcliff, Grace Ann Tolliver, Lexington, and Yvonne Mullins, IN; 11 grandchildren, Brandon Edwards, Nicholas Edwards, Hank Scales, Susie Scales, Samantha Davis, Alex Spaulding, Jessica Gibson, Austin Wilder, Shelby Wilder, Logan Hart and Linlee Shipp; and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda King Shipp and 1 great great grandson. Funeral Information Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Clark Legacy Center, followed by a Funeral Service at 7 pm with Rev. Bill Brumley officiating.
