June 28th, 1972 - April 17th, 2018
OFFICER SEAN CORNETT Kingsport- Sean Cornett, 45, of Kingsport, departed this life on Tuesday April 17, 2018 doing what he loved most, enjoying life. He is now resting in his Heavenly Father’s Arms. Sean was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School where he was a star athlete. Sean was employed by the Eastman Chemical Company for a number of years. After leaving Eastman Chemical Company, he went to work for the Kingsport Police Department in 2004 until his untimely death. During the last 8 years of his life, he served as a Student Resource Officer at Dobyns Bennett High School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Schofield; father, William “Tito” Miller, Sr. along with his grandparents on both sides. Sean Cornett is survived by his loving sons, Tyrese and Tyson Cornett (of the home); his brothers, William Miller (Miranda), Domingo Hale (Sarah); a step-daughter, Danielle Miller; a granddaughter, Kelsi Brandon; his very special and devoted loved ones, Melissa Campbell and Alijah Dunn along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. A visitation will take place on Sunday April 29, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Dobyns-Bennett Dome in Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the residence of his aunt, Ramona (Twinkle) McClintock. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor Billy Pearson, Chief David Quillin, Dr. Chris Hampton, Lt. Justin Quillin, and Melissa Campbell providing words of comfort. A private graveside service will be conducted by the Kingsport Police Honor Guard at Holston View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingsport Police Union, Local 168, P.O. Box 7221, Kingsport, TN 37664.
