Eleanor Ellis

Mt. Carmel – Eleanor Josephine Snapp Ellis, 80 of Mt. Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ellis. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Sandy Hammond and Pam Hurd (Charles); son, Rick Ellis (Claudette); grandsons, Tracy Ellis (Amiee), Richard Ellis (Jennifer) and Charles Hurd, Jr.; granddaughter, Christie Miller (Jason); great-grandsons, Isaac Ellis, Charles and Matheu Hurd and Eli Miller; great-granddaughters, Lily Ellis and Taylor Ellis; sister, Bea Hite and husband Stanley; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Wills Cemetery, Wolfe Lane in Church Hill. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Ellis family.
