Lexington, KY Fred Ross Kelly, 82, died January 6, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife Judy (Wells) Kelly; loving daughters Shannon Ross Kelly (Arnold) Stalk of Nevada and Kathy (Tim) Banta of Lexington; loving sons Bradford Stephen Kelly of Nicholasville and Gary (Elizabeth) Lamb of Lexington; sisters Joan Wilcox of Lexington, Dawn Willard of Georgia, Greta (John) Stovall of Virginia Beach and Amy (John) Nutt of Pennsylvania; brothers Charles (Linda) Kelly of Florida and Harold (Sandra) Kelly of Lexington and beloved grandchildren Katelin Kelly, Rebecca Kelly, Taylor Kelly, Jacob Stalk, Dostell Lamb, Wesley Lamb, Conner Lamb and Steven Banta. Fred was a member at Rosemont Baptist Church in Lexington and The Masonic Lodge where he was awarded his 50 year pin. He retired from Lexingtons Police Department after 25 years, and then served the Fayette County Sherriffs Department for 11 years before working at the Fayette County Clerks office. He enjoyed spending time on his farm mowing the fields, and watching the deer graze. In his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and fishing. Fred was a member of the Free Masons Lodge #954 and the Fraternal Order of Police. Funeral Information A Gathering of Family and Friends will occur on July 9, 2017 at 1PM at Shamrock Shadow Farm in Mercer County. Lunch will be provided.
