A native of Woodford County, he was born on December 11, 1955 to the late Samuel and Etta Mae Spencer Hansel. Mr. Hansel was a farmer and a mechanic. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Eva (Dennis) Allen, Lexington; his son, George (Wilma) Wilson, Harrodsburg, Jackie (Tasha) Hansel, Versailles and Bobby (Robert) Downs, Chicago; his sister, Geraldine Currens, Versailles; his brothers, Russell Hansel, Midway, James Hansel, John Hansel and Benny Hansel, all of Versailles; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Robinson, Betty Hansel and Irene Foley; and his brother, Samuel Hansel, Jr. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be 4pm Sunday, May 17 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Rev. Carl Jones officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm until time of service.
