Charles Donald "Don" Robinson

Online Obituaries Versailles KY Charles Donald "Don" Robinson, 77, husband of Barbara Creekmore Robinson, passed away on Monday, April 21 in Ormond Beach, Florida. Don was born in Clark County on March 26, 1937 to the late Arthur Bradley and Bertha Cox Robinson. He moved to Versailles in 1966 to serve as manager of the local Kroger store. He retired from Kenway Chemical Company after 38 years of service and earning many top sales awards. He was a founding member of Woodford Christian Church where he served as an elder, Sunday School teacher, and Missions Committee Chairman along with many other positions. He truly had a heart for missions. He was a member and past president of the Bluegrass Christian Men's Fellowship where he was instrumental in starting several new churches. Don and Barbara moved to Florida in 2012. He was most recently a member of Tomoka Christian Church in Ormond Beach. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Vadonna Jones, Mary (Wayne) Boyd, and Steve (Jennifer) Robinson; eight grandchildren: Jessica (J.B.) Vincent, Nikki Davis, Jennifer (Shawn) Smith, Ryan (Megan) Boyd, Caitlyn Boyd, Tyson Robinson, Parker Robinson, and Annie Robinson; four great grandchildren: Mason and Maddie Smith, Tatum Wimberly, and Maxwell Vincent. He is also survived by three stepchildren, Roni (Hassan) McKnight, Bryan (Dana) McKnight and Ryan (Tess) McKnight; nine step grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Virginia True Robinson, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Information Services will be held Saturday, April 26 at the Woodford Community Christian Church, 320 Hope Lane, in Versailles. Visitation will be 11:00-2:00 with a Celebration of Life service at 2:00PM led by Randy Nation. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Birch, Jimmy Chism, Joe Clark, Ken Curtis, Adrian Kash, and J.D. Wolfe.
