Jones Baldwin

Diane Rae Baldwin Jones was 82 years old when she passed away on July 2, 2015 in Wheat Ridge, CO. She was born on May 8, 1933 in Evanston, Ill. to Robert E. Baldwin and Mary Elizabeth Read. Diane grew up in Evanston, Ill. and Kansas City, MO. and graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City. She attended the University of Kansas for two years where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Diane met Glenn Hunter Jones, Jr. at K.U. in 1952 and they were subsequently married at the Second Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO. on June 5, 1954. Diane and Glenn had three sons: Glenn Hunter, III, Christopher Robert and Kelly Read, and seven grandchildren: Kristen, Cassie, Kaitlin, Hunter, Audra, Haylie and Graham. She enjoyed travelling throughout Europe and Southeast Asia, and living for extended periods in Algiers, Algeria and Jakarta, Indonesia as she and her sons accompanied her husband Glenn on his various engineering and executive assignments in the petroleum industry. Diane enjoyed her life very much and was always close to and blessed by her many friends and family. She was an active member of Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church in Dallas and belonged to several social and charitable organizations during her life. Diane was a loving and caring wife to Glenn, her husband of 61 years, and so enjoyed their fun and close relationship. She loved and cherished her three sons and their families dearly. She is greatly missed by her family and many friends. At the time of her passing, Diane was survived by her husband Glenn, and two of their sons: Glenn Hunter, III, and Christopher Robert, and in Spirit by their youngest son Kelly Read, who passed in 2010, plus their seven grandchildren.
