Online Obituaries for Lexington, KY Lloyd Stamper, 78, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. A native of Jackson, Kentucky, he was the husband of 53yrs to Mrs. Erma Sue Stamper and son to the late Daily and Lucy Herald Stamper. A United States Army veteran, Lloyd was an avid UK fan, enjoyed working in the garden, and flowers of all kinds. He was a Bible Trivia whiz, so much so, he had a hard time finding an opponent, playing with him all but guaranteed a loss for you. He loved and enjoyed his family and little dog, Joey, but above all, he loved his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife Erma, Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Carl) Eary, Nicholasville; son, Charlie (Melissa) Stamper, Lexington; sister, Ruth (Elmer) Stamper Roseberry, Butler, KY; and grandchildren, Casey Eary, Cameron Eary, Taya Stamper, and Katie Stamper. He was preceded in death by his twin sisters and their husbands, Emily (George, Jr) King and Revina (Frank) Miller; brothers, Arnold Stamper, B.C. Stamper, and Daily Stamper, Jr; and grandson, Nathan Stamper. Funeral Information A Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm, Monday, January 30, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with Pastor Gary Ward, Rev. Walter Hall, and Rev. Wayne Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Randy South, Josh Mullins, Paul Mullins, Chris Slaybaugh, Alex Powell, and Mike Moberly will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held 2:00p - 5:00p Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the funeral home.
