All-States Cremation - Wheat Ridge
William "Bill" G Barber
March 16th, 1949 - October 5th, 2015
William G “Bill” Barber passed away Monday, October 5th 2015 in an automobile accident. Bill was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on March 16, 1949 to Christina and Clyde Barber. Bill was the eldest of four children to include sisters Laura and Janice, and brother Ken. After the passing of his sister Laura at the age of twelve, the family left Rapid City and moved to Commerce City, Colorado. His father Clyde started working in the dairy industry while his mother was a Baker for the Adams County School District 14, moving from Central Elementary, Kearney Junior High and finally to Adams City High School as their children grew. Bill graduated from Adams City High School in 1968. In the fall of 1968, he married his High School sweetheart, Pam Evans. Bill was a graduate of the Colorado Carpenter Apprenticeship Program and had his own Construction company from 1981 until 1992 when he joined the ranks of another Construction company, Williams Construction, in Lakewood, Colorado. Some of his many projects while at Williams included several Tokyo Joes restaurants, Campus Housing at the Regency, The View House in Centennial, Amato Ale House in Denver, various 24 Hour Fitness locations, Jarred Jewelers in Westminster, and Mod Market Restaurants around the Denver metro area. Bill enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He especially loved street rods, owning several and in the process of building yet another, a 1936 Ford pickup, but with a Chevy Big Block. Bill and Pam recently celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary and were looking forward to making it to the BIG “50” in 2018. He is preceded in death by mother, father and both sisters. He is survived by his wife Pam, beloved daughter Shannon (Chris) McCracken, and grandchildren Cody and Sara, sister-in-law Jaye Gripp, nephews Mike, Danny, and Randy Gripp, brother Ken (Carmen) and nephew David. Numerous cousins and many, many close and dear friends, and will be deeply missed. He loved you all.
