Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY FRANKFORT- William Woodrow Martin Jr., age 81, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday April 13, 2014 at his residence. William was born on May 22, 1932 in Anderson County to the late William W. Martin Sr. and Edith Brewer Shriver. He was a retired security guard for General Electric and a Kentucky State Police Sgt. William is survived by 2 daughters Rebecca Martin Gill and Lois M. (Gary) Roberts Kingsolver Hockensmith, one son Stephen Lowell Martin, one brother Jack C. Martin, 4 grandchildren Steven (Paula) Kingsolver, Daryle Woolums, Amy (Thomas) McCann, and Eric (Kristy) Woolums, and 7 great grandchildren. Besides his parents William is preceded in death by 2 brothers George Wayne Martin, and Charles Wayne Martin Funeral services for William Woodrow Martin Jr. will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, April 15th 2014 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road with Reverend Mike Napier officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Active casketbearers will be Steven Kingsolver, Daryle and Eric Woolums, Thomas McCann, James Yates and Noel Wise. Honorary casketbearers will be Pearl Schrader, Olsen Woodside, Harold Sayre, Carol Garrett, Shirley Price, Mary Waldridge, Bobby, Raymond, Gene and Steve Ritter and the Peaks Mill Class of 1952. The family will receive friends from 11am Tuesday until the funeral service hour of 1:00 pm. Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
