Andreas McCain Gobel
April 14th, 1994 - June 26th, 2021
Andreas McCain Gobel April 14, 1994 – June 26, 2021 Born in Edmonds passed away Andrews Bay-Lake Washington. Survived by his parents Jess and Jamie and brother Callahan. Andreas had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins all who loved and admired him. Cousin Presley Jenkins was the “big sister” whom he was very close. Andreas was a loving, kind, caring, funny, loyal, open, welcoming, silly son, brother and friend. He so enjoyed being around his friends, family and new acquaintances. He habitually and consistently hugged those he cared for. He didn’t know a stranger. He took an active interest in many lives. He believed in God and Jesus Christ as his savior. He prayed. Though his time with us was short all who knew Andreas were incredibly fortunate and lucky to have him in our lives. Throughout his life Andreas embraced his friendships, many of them developed through sports but also friendships developed through any activity he pursued. He attended Shorewood High School and was captain of the Shorewood Boy’s Soccer Team that went 20-1-0. He so enjoyed his seasons playing high school soccer as well as club soccer for NW Nationals and his time in his youth with Hillwood Soccer Club where his dad and other fathers got a chance to coach him. After graduating from Shorewood in 2012 Andreas enthusiastically looked forward to attending WSU. It was in Pullman that he greatly expanded his circle of friends primarily through his membership with Phi Delta Theta fraternity as well as a host of other collegiate activities such as playing club soccer for the WSU Men’s Soccer team. He loved college life, fraternity life, Pullman and even academics and all that each had to offer. His orbit of friendship greatly expanded due to attending WSU. It made his life richer and fuller. In May 2016 he graduated from WSU with a degree in Communications and returned to Seattle to continue his happy life with family and friends. His favorite collegiate era job was working for Clipper Navigation for two summers and visiting Victoria, BC every work day. Post collegiate he enjoyed his short tenure with Enterprise Car Rental, Genie Industries and spent about 1 year or so with Bensussen Deutsch & Associates. For the last two years he worked for Convoy. He had accepted an account management position with AVVO and was so looking forward to that new opportunity. Andreas really enjoyed electronic dance music and attended a few music festivals all around the country or at The Gorge. He was fortunate to visit England a number of times with his family to attend Liverpool FC games at Anfield, he was a Reds fan as well as Seahawks and Coug fan through and through. Thus as a Reds fan he embraced the team and fan motto that “You will Never Walk Alone”. Andreas has so much to look forward in life, thus it is unexplainable how it ended so abruptly. He valued and enjoyed all those who were near to him. He cared, he loved, he would do anything for anyone.
