John "Jack" M. Bennett
August 22nd, 1927 - November 30th, 2016
Lexington, KY John Jack M. Bennett, 89, died November 30, 2016. He is survived by his daughter Susan (Michael) Rayburn; son Charles Stinnett; sisters Cinda (Frank) Flanders, Joanne (George) Grosch and Patricia Masters; grandchildren David Stinnett, Billie Machal, Cathy Burgess, Michael Rayburn, Kinetha Todd, John Grigsby and Kevin Grigsby and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Betsy (Hillard) Bennett; parents Michael and Edna Edith (Holland) Bennett; son Donald Grigsby and a brother Michael Bennett. Jack was a proud WWII Navy veteran. He loved NASCAR and any sports, but especially his beloved UK Wildcats. He enjoyed farming cattle and tending his horses. Professionally he was a builder, but he was also a pilot, an accomplished story teller and a part-time couch potato. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5-7 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 followed by a Time of Sharing at 7 PM. Military Rites are tenitively scheduled for noon, Monday, December 5, 2016 at 3775 Royster Road, Lexington, KY 40516.
