Nicholasville, KY Louis (Lou) Arthur Bender, 78, died Thursday, August 8, 2013. He is survived by his daughters Teresa Bender, Beth (David) Camp and Dianna Allen; his sons Donald (Shari) Bender, Mike (Jan) Bender and step-son Ronald Reed; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his son Jim Bender and his parents Louis and Dorothy (Bryant) Bender. As an engineer and tool/die machinist, Lou was always creating things. His love of drag racing was passed on to one of his sons, who became a racing crew chief. In addition to his family, Lou loved anything having to do with cars and engines.
