Online Obituaries for Versailles KY VERSAILLES- William Howard Spencer, 68, husband of Janie Spencer, died Monday, April 17, 2017. A native of Woodford County, he was born on March 17, 1949 to the late Charles and Lida Duncan Spencer. Mr. Spencer worked as a brake operator for Trane in Lexington for 40 years and was a veteran in the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was also a member of Southside Christian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Steven (Amanda) Spencer, Versailles; his sister, Patricia Jackson, Georgetown; 2 brothers, Charles Byron (Julia) Spencer of Stafford, VA, and Stacy Spencer. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be 10am Friday at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Rev. Keith Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Clyde Adams, Steve Mattingly, Christian Creech, Mannie Pinales, Scott Azure and Allen Thurman. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
