Annette Marie Therese Bullock

Marie Therese Annette Bullock nee Clairmont Annette Bullock transitioned to a new life with her Lord, embraced by her daughter and son-in-law on September 13, 2021. Born Nov 8, 1926 in Hull, Quebec, Canada to Alice (de Grandmont) and Ovila Clairmont, Annette was French-Canadian. She was the youngest child with 3 brothers (Emile, Leo, Gerard) and 1 sister Angeline who all passed before her as well as her beloved Aunt Zerilda. While in Canada, after teaching herself English by watching movies with subtitles, Annette started her working career in Quebec as a government bilingual secretary and stenographer posted to NYC and the United Nations from 1955-1958. In the Fall of 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955 she was a member of the Canadian Delegation to the United Nations. She loved living in NYC in the 1950’s and had many stories of meeting famous people on the streets and attending plays and parties. On October 24, 1959, she married Mervyn Bullock at St Therese Catholic Church in Ottawa, Quebec and became a homemaker. They met on a cruise in early 1959 to Bermuda after he lost his wife and she lost her mother. She is survived by her only child, a daughter, Michele Bullock, their miracle. While living in Allentown and raising her daughter, Annette volunteered at St Catherine of Siena’s school, Allentown Sacred Heart Hospital (ASH), then when she moved to Sun City Center, FL in 1984 and volunteered at South Bay hospital. At the hospital she loved the work at the front desk helping with admissions and discharge and meeting and helping people. She had a knack for conversation and putting people at ease. She loved her family and God the most and every day she said morning and evening prayers inspiring others who saw her. She honored those who preceded her by attending mass and faithfully followed the Catholic Church her entire life. She leaves behind her only child Michèle and a devoted Son in law Cliff Wilson and grandchildren by marriage Stephen Bullock, Christopher Bullock and Vanessa Bullock; in Canada are her nieces: Diane Richardson, Nicole Stevenson, Diane Clairmont, Marguerite Latimer, and Marie Clairmont and nephews: Marc Lafleur and Daniel Lafleur.
