Online Obituaries for Versailles, KY Versailles-Frenchie Forita Carter, 64, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017. She was born on September 8, 1952, in Versailles, KY, to Bernice Dobbins and the late Warren Carter. Frenchie was raised by her mother, Bernice and her step-father, the late Jake (James B.) Dobbins. A 1972 graduate of Woodford County High, Frenchie worked for 28 years as a dedicated cook in the kitchen of Woodford Memorial Hospital. When the hospital closed, she began her second career, working as a loyal Kmart team member. Kmart restaurant customers remember Frenchies warm welcome and how much she loved her work. Ms. Carter was a member of First Baptist Church and a firm believer in God. She found the most happiness in loving and serving others. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Charmayne Carter of Versailles and Clinton (Theresa) Carter of Nicholasville; her granddaughter and Goddaughter, June AnnaMarie Carter. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be 1pm Thursday at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Pastor David Brannen officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery Serving as casketbearers will be Marshall Hood, Marcus Taylor, Anthony Dodson, Marlin Thompson, Arvade Young and Ashley Young. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service.
