January 8th, 1951 - February 5th, 2014
Stephen Michael Kirk passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the age of 63, after a full life lived on his own terms and with dignity. After completing school in Wheat Ridge, Steve spent many happy years working at the Archer Workshop in Arvada. He has lived in a supported living home in Lakewood since 1996. He was blessed with the love and support of many special people throughout his life. Preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Charles Kirk of Wheat Ridge, Stephen is survived by his sister, Kim Sobczyk, nieces Janet Miks and Teresa Huntoon and great nephews and niece Aaron, Alexander, and Leah Huntoon. A private memorial is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Developmental Disabilities Resource, Lakewood, CO.
