February 28th, 1942 - August 8th, 2017
Nicholasville, KY Dale E. Beam, 75, died August 8, 2017. He is survived by his wife Paula Beam; sons Mark (Becky) Beam and Steve (Beth) Beam; daughter Keva Dotson; brothers Kennie (Linda) Beam and Kevin Beam (Paula) Beam; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ira and Helen (Hughes) Beam and a brother Rick Beam. Dale was a former Military Police officer with the U.S. Army, who was stationed in South Korea guarding the 38th parallel. He also served with the Gaithersburg Sherriff Department and the W. Virginia State Police. He retired after a stellar career as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Dale was a charter member of the National Response Team, and had been an investigator at the scene of the Oklahoma bombing in 1995, and the standoff in Waco, TX. He had worked with the United States State Department as an instructor for Multi-national police agencies, teaching explosives and bomb investigations and counter terrorism tactics. Dale loved and excelled at work, but loved to spend time with his family traveling around the USA, or lying on the beach at Jekyll Island, GA. He was also an avid reader and loved to go the Boats to try his luck. He was an avid dog lover, but Echo was his best girl. If you knew Dale, you knew that he was known to say It is what it is often. Funeral Information There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1-3PM, Sunday, August 13, 2017 followed by a celebration of Dales life at 3PM at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing.
