Online Obituaries for Lexington Helen Jean 'Jeanie" Newby, 72, widow of Lloyd Edward Newby, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at her residence in Lexington. She was born in Lexington, daughter of Gladys Cornett Durbin Powell and the late Charles Durbin. She had been a banquet server for Ramada Inn. Surviving besides her mother, are her two daughters; Cecilia Dickerson, and her husband; John Van Hooser, Georgetown, Tina F. Davis, and her husband, Mark, Lexington, her sister; Barbara J. Barber, Lexington, her half-brother; Charles Earnest Durbin, Versailles, her eleven grandchildren; Jason {Robin}, Matthew, Carla {Thomas}, Daylon {Justin}, Heather {James}, Emily, Ashley, Lauren, Casey {Cody}, Braylon and Issac, and her three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Debbie Watts. Funeral Information Memorial service will be held from 6-8pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at David's Fork Baptist Church at 3245 N Cleveland Rd, Lexington, KY 40516 . Her graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
