Jerome Michael Metzger
March 18th, 1947 - March 18th, 2009
On his birthday, Jerome ended his long battle with cancer and went home to be with his earthly father and Heavenly Father. Jerome is survived by his beautiful twin daughters, Ashley and Nicole Metzger (20 years old). He loved his daughters with all his heart. They were his life. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Metzger; 3 sisters, Cynthia St. Clair, Sheila Hooks, Pamela Somers; 3 nephews, Travis Pfrimmer, Brett and Alec Somers; 2 nieces, Kristen Gardner and Lisa Jensvold and one great nephew, Wyatt Gardner. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Metzger. He leaves behind many many wonde friends. Jerome was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, March 18, 1947. His family moved to Mountlake Terrace, Washington in July 1957. He attended grade school at St. Pius X Grade School. He attended Blanchett High School for 2 years and transferred to Mountlake Terrace High School where he graduated in 1965. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served his country in Viet Nam for 2 years. After the service Jerome attended ITT where he earned a Technical Degree in Electronics. He had a long career in this field. He married in 1986 and had twin girls in 1988. Ashley and Nicole were the light of his life. He was a very devoted father. He spent the last years of his life involved in their softball, never missing a game. They shared a love of baseball. His family will miss him very much. He left us way too soon. Services will be held at St. Pius X Church, 22209-58th Ave W. Mountlake Terrace, WA on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at 10:30 am.
