Obituary Lee Monroe Carpenter, 89, of Lexington, Kentucky, and widower of Rosa Lee McGoldrick Carpenter, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born July, 24, 1921 in Bath County, Kentucky. Lee was an honored World War II Veteran and Deacon Emirtus at Macedonia Christian Church were he was a faithful member. He is survived by his daughter, Sonja (Lee) Miller, Lexington; sisters, Helen Kline, Gertrude Wilson and Faye Messenbrink, all from Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; brothers, Rollie and Irvin Carpenter, also from Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Jeremy Monroe Miller and TJ and Todd Milburn; and great grandchildren, Chloe, Haley, Lauren, Karson and Lincoln. In addition to his wife and parents, Lee was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Milburn, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral Information Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Graveside Service will be 10 am, Thursday, February 17 at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Mark Dunn and Lee Miller, and with full military honors. Casketbearers: Jeremy Miller, TJ Milburn, Todd Milburn, John Rhodus, Wilmer Rudd and Rob Miller.
