Garrett Douthitt
February 28th, 1933 - July 28th, 2015
Frankfort, KY Garrett Douthitt, 82, husband of Geraldine Douthitt, passed away Tuesday July 28, 2015. A native of Franklin Co. he was born on February 26, 1933 to the late Fielding Douthitt and Drucella Sams Douthitt. Garrett was a veteran of the US Army, and served during the Korean War. He was a retired Security Guard for the Kentucky State Police, and a member of New Life Worship Center. In addition to his wife of 58 years he is survived by his sons Gary (Clara) Douthitt, Frankfort; Shane (Elaine) Douthitt, WA; his brothers Mike Douthitt, FL; Donald Douthitt, Wilmore; his granddaughters Tracie Douthitt; Ashley Douthitt; Taylor Douthitt; and his great grandchildren Nicole Cook; and Nikolaus McGauhey. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Friday July 31, 2015 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel. Brother Gene Roberts will officiate. Serving as casketbearers will be Gary Douthitt, Shane Douthitt, David Harrod, David Trautwein, Frankie Taylor, and Billy Taylor. Honorary casketbearers will be Tracie Douthitt, Nicole Cook, Taylor Douthitt, Clara Douthitt, and Elaine Douthitt.
