Shirley Aletha Esperson passed away April 24. She was born on Oct. 14, 1919 in Olympia to Lyle and Marie Proctor. She married Sam Esperson in 1953 and they lived in Bryant, north of Arlington. The couple raised four children. Shirley was always generous, pting of others, and loved to read and go camping. She was quick with a sage observation, and even quicker with a hearty laugh. Shirley always sought, and invariably found, the best qualities in everyone. She will be missed by those of us who were blessed to be a part of her life. She is survived by her husband Sam, daughters Sara Leming (aka Joann), Tina (Larry) Wilson and Elaine Eylar, son Mike, grandchildren Angie, Jenny, Eric (Mike), Darren, Reid (Tina) and Ren (Elaine), six greatgrandchildren, and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her sister Lyla.A Celebration of Shirleys life will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Hall, 225 E 3rd St, Arlington. Contributions in Shirleys memory can be made to the Alzheimers Association or Providence Hospice Home Care.
