Lexington, Kentucky Dorcas Hannah Malear, 85, died Saturday, August 23, 2014. She was born on February 24, 1929 in Lincoln County, Kentucky to George Washington and Maggie D. Nicholas Daugherty. She was a member of the Man O' War Church of God and she loved the Lord and her church. She was a loving wife and mother and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Letha J. (Reed) Malear; son, Ralph (Linda) Malear, Jr.; sisters, Lena Leathers and Jenny (Eulas) Fyffe; grandchildren, Megan Suzanne (Nick) Malear-Welliver and Grant Layton Malear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Layton Malear, Sr., parents, George Washington and Maggie D. Nicholas Daugherty; sisters, Margaret Lay, Charlotte Peavayhouse, Martha H. Lay, Emily Angel Daugherty; brothers, Willie Daugherty, George Daugherty Jr., and Walter E. Daugherty. Funeral Information Services will be from 10am-12pm, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Richard Ussery.
