Mat Jibbensmith passed away September 21, 2009 after suffering anaphylactic shock.Born March 14, 1981 in Rapid City, SD, he completed his bachelors degree in philosophy and womens studies at Pacific Lutheran University.Mat married Greta Marie Smith in April 2006 and they entered Seattle University School of Law that fall. Mat started his career with Curran Law Firm in Kent and graduated law school with Greta in May 2009.He was an avid runner, enjoyed travel, time with friends and family, and freestyle baking. He was gracious and helpful to all. He was a devoted husband, warm friend, and enthusiastic employee.Mat passed away doing what he loved; running a marathon with his wife and sister-in-law.Mat is survived by his wife Greta, his parents Shane and Barbara Jibben, and his sister Katy Jibben.He whole heartedly embraced every community he was part of. His bright smile and positive mental attitude will be missed by all.Mats Funeral Mass will be held Tues., Sept. 29 at 2 pm at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Everett.
