John Edward Barrows, Jr. John Edwards Barrows, Jr., 65, husband of Jill Sellers Barrows, passed away at home, on November 25, 2013, surrounded by his family. John was born in Rhode Island on April 3, 1948 to Josephine Howard Barrows and the late John E. Barrows, Sr. John grew up on the family farm in Versailles, KY. He attended Hanover College in Indiana. He enjoyed most in his life, spending time with family and his many special friends. John was known to all as "one of the kindest men I've known" and was always quick to play practical jokes. In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his daughter, Dr. Kendra (John) Ewalt, of Paris, KY and his son, John E. Barrows, III (Kerry McLain) of Salvisa, KY; his brothers, Pete Barrows, Joe (Jean) Barrows, and Bill Barrows, all of Versailles, KY; his sister, Susan B. (Henry) Hipkens, of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Gavin Barrows, Gracie Ewalt, Kate Ewalt (Cullen) Bailey; his great-grandson, Rett Bailey; his nieces, Parry Barrows, Claire Hipkens, Jennifer Sellers Ciecorka; and his nephews, Zack Hipkens, Hayden Barrows and Mark Sellers. Funeral Information A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, November 30 from 2:00-4:30PM at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:30PM.
