Ernest John Dominguez
August 30th, 1952 - March 12th, 2015
Lexington, Kentucky Ernest (Ernie) John Dominguez, 62, husband of Amy Jones, died on Thursday, March 12. Ernie was born on August 30, 1952 in Orange, CA to Ernest Baron Dominguez and Amelia Gomez Dominguez. He graduated from Mater Dei High School and attended Santa Ana College. He was a faithful employee of the United States Postal Service for 32 years. He was a bicycle enthusiast, and a frequent volunteer at the Broke Spoke, a place who's mission he ardently supported and believed in. He had a true appreciation for all kinds of motors, and spent many happy hours building and flying model airplanes and "tinkering" with cars and trucks. He was an avid reader and student of history, and had a passion for learning. His family and many friends, including those at the Post Office and Broke Spoke, join Amy in mourning his unexpected passing. His life was so much more than can be stated in these few words, and his absence will be forever felt by those who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Jessica Dominguez; sister, Arlene (Richard) Genzel of Yorba Linda, CA, and nieces Danielle and Victoria; brother, Gary (Suzanne) Dominguez of Placentia, CA, nieces Kristina and Amy and nephew Gary Nicholas; mother-in-law Alice Jones; brother-in-law Tom (Pamela) Jones of Fisherville, KY and nieces Sarah, Laura, Emma and Melissa and nephews Jacob and Jonathan. Funeral Information A gathering for family and friends will be held at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing on Sunday, April 12, 2:00-4:00 p.m., with a special remembrance at 3:00 p.m.
