Obituary Jency Anne Smith, 55, widow of Harry Edward Smith, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at her home in Lexington. She was born in Lauringburg, NC and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Jonathan Edward Hassan Smith and her daughter, Jennifer Leigh Smith, both of Lexington; her four sisters, Sylvia Lynn Brown, Resaca, GA; Faye Amber Locklear, Maxton, NC; Gloria Locklear, Hilton Head, SC; Dible Jackson, Lauringburg, NC; and her two grandchildren, Laila Smith and Jonathan Smith, both of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her sister Diane Locklear. Funeral Information A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, September 14, 6-8 pm at Clark Legacy Center with a Celebration of Life Service, conducted by Rev DeWayne Walker, to follow at 8 pm.
