Online Obituaries for Lexington, KY William Henry (Bill) Dodge, Jr. died at his home in Lexington, KY on Tuesday, September 19 from pancreatic cancer. Born May 31, 1926, to William Henry Dodge, Sr. and Hazel Mae Hayden Dodge, he attended Little Rock (Central) High School and Little Rock Jr. College (UALR); graduating in 1951 from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Law School. Bill's career centered around commercial real estate, working 32 years as division real estate manager for Safeway Stores, Inc., followed by 8 years with the JD Ashley Company. He was a long-time member of the Little Rock Optimist Club, serving as club president during the 1960s. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Joanne Moore Dodge and his sister, Maxine Rowland, of Little Rock. He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Dodge Hargett (David) of Little Rock and Karen Dodge Griesbaum (Horst) of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Barton, Emily Allison Harding (Michael Hanshew), and Brian Enoch Harding (Mallory); and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Information A private family memorial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Little Rock at a future date. The family thanks the following caregivers/organizations who helped greatly during Bills last year: Parker Home Care, Willows Personal Care-Hamburg, Hospice of the Bluegrass, Aging with Grace Adult Day Center, ITN Bluegrass Transportation Service, Hometown Manor-Lexington, and Mayfair Village Personal Care.
