Gladys Jean Babe Beal, a resident of Edmonds the past 43 years died December 23, 2010. She was born December 14, 1928 to John and Ann Ferguson in Bellingham, WA.She married Jack Mead Beal, her high school sweetheart in Bellingham on June 28, 1947. Jack and Gladys owned the Edmonds Flower shop. They worked together for over 25 years until their retirement in 1982.In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and dining with friends.Gladys was a founding member of the Pacific Northwest Needle Arts Guild. She was also a member of the Soroptimist of Sno-King.Gladys is survived and will be missed by her daughter Cathy Beal of Edmonds; grandchildren, Alexis of Ballard and Peter of Maple Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathleen Hughes of Ferndale, WA; and her beloved husband of 57 years, Jack. We love you NanThe family is grateful for the care she received at Swedish Edmonds and Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County.
