Alice died peacefully Friday, January 7, 2011 at the age of 92. She was born December 24, 1918 in Tacoma, WA to Frank and Hannah Doane but lived most of her life in Seattle.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Claudon, and sons, Frank Fortney and Andy Klein. She is survived by her sons, Raymond Fortney (Barbara), Edmond Fortney, and Kevin Claudon (Donna) all of Seattle and daughter, Pat Antoniou of Wenatchee. Alice also had 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.Alice lived and worked in Greenwood, Crown Hill, and Ballard until she retired at 81. In addition to keeping track of the activities of her family, Alice loved the Mariners and never missed a broadcast. Announcement: In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice Care at the Forest Park of Washington family home 5027 NE 197th St, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155.
