Theresa Mary Fichtenholtz

Theresa (also affectionately known as Teri, Tess and Nana) Fichtenholtz passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, surrounded by her family; she was 67 years old. She was born Theresa Mary OCarroll, to her mother Josephine OCarroll on May 28, 1944 at Croom Maternity in County Limerick, Ireland.Teri left Ireland in 1966 and lived most of her adult life in Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace, Washington. She worked for 12 years at Stevens Hospital as a Unit Coordinator for ICU. Her bright smile and compassionate eyes were always a welcome to her patients and fellow colleagues. In 1984 she began work at Premera Blue Cross as Senior Customer Services Representative, where she worked for 20 years.Teri married her best friend and soul mate, Max, on May 5, 1990.Teri loved the company of animals; her home was always filled with pets, spoiled by her loving touch. She was at her best when graced by the presence of friends and family; sharing a casual chat, and exchanging stories filled with laughter and smiles. She could fill hours listening and watching birds from her backyard or front window.Teri is survived by her husband, Max; her son Randy Kane; daughter Caileen (Ki) Kane; her son Shane Kane and wife Sara; her grandson, Dylan Kane and granddaughter Kyra Kane, and their mother, Joni Kane. In Ireland, she is survived by her brother, Joseph OCarroll and his wife Margaret; her sisters Kay and Bernadette OCarroll; several nieces, nephews, and cherished extended family.
