Evelyn Marguerette Frederick
December 7th, 1916 - February 4th, 2012
Evelyn Margarete Frederick, 95, was called home on February 4, 2012 in Everett, WA. Evelyn was born, Dec. 7, 1917 to Maggie Evelyn (Gander) Omar Armstrong in Lewis Town Montana. She was from a large family, one of 13. She enjoyed dancing and going to dinner, but her most favorite pastime was going shopping! Evelyn married George William Frederick in 1936, and had 2 children, Doris Ann William (Bill). They eventually made their family home in Anacortes, Washington. Evelyn worked at the cannery in Burlington WA until she was injured on the job and eventually retired. Evelyn enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her home; where one could often find a rousing game of crib or pinochle being played. You were always welcome at the Fredericks where everyone was treated like family. There are many wonde memories of days gone by, with camping trips to Mt. Baker and Thousand Trails, picnics at Sunset Beach Big Cranberry Lake. What great fun we had! In 1980 when her wonde husband George passed away it left an empty space that could not be filled. Selling her home in 1984, she moved to Lynnwood WA to be closer to family. Evelyn was gracious and firm, and as matriarch of her family, she would let you know if she didnt approve. But to give equal billing, her praises were received with many a smile. Grandma loved to hear a good story or joke, and would slap her knee with gusto, laughing heartily and always ready to hear more. With her large family she didnt have to wait long. The saga of Evelyns life has come full circle. Her spontaneity and zest for life will be remembered with smiles in our hearts. She will no longer be bound by the restraints of this earth, but is now free to spread her wings and fly wherever she chooses. Evelyn was loved very much, and will be remembered for the lessons she taught of life and love of family, which will remain in our hearts and mind. Though she is no longer with us, we will honor her memory with strength and grace. As she walks with God in heaven, her legacy will live on with her family and friends until we meet again. Evelyn was proceded in death by her husband George (Freddie) Frederick, daughter Doris Ann Frederick Wehr, and granddaughter Donna Lynn Wehr. She is survived by son, William (Bill) Frederick and wife Bobette (Bobbie); 9 grandchildren: Sheryl Barker, Lisa Sorby, Kim Fey, Kay LeDuc, Kirk Wehr, Eric Wehr, Monte Wehr, Linnae Warren and Cindy Keightley; 17 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family wishes to thank the many family and friends who made her last days happy ones with their kind thoughts and visits. And a special thank you to the staff at Sunrise View for their thoughtful care. We miss you Gram!
