Linda Charles Rakes

Obituary Linda Charles Rakes, 61, of Lexington, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009. A native of Marion County she was born July 30, 1947, to Charles and Lavanna Rakes. She was employed by the University of Kentucky President Commissions, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, a graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Linda is survived by her husband, Jerry Hadden; Danny Smith, Midway, the father of her children; 3 daughters, Kelly (Donald) Mitchell, Midway; Kristi (Denis) Grubbs, Danville; and Amy (Kevin) Althouse, PA; sister, Frankee Rakes Brady, Louisville; and her grandchildren, Logan Mitchell, Mia and Charli Grubbs, Emily and Andrew Althouse. Funeral Information A Gathering of Family and Friends, Saturday, July 18, from 11 am until time of service at Clark Legacy Center. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 pm.
