Roberta Carol OHara

Roberta Carol OHara passed away at home December 3, 2012 after a battle with several types of cancer. She enjoyed having her family close by. Roberta Carol (Thompson) was born at home in Svold, ND to Thomas and Grace (Hughes) Thompson on August 3, 1935. She had a large family of three girls and four boys. Her family moved to Seattle in 1951 for work. She graduated from Franklin High School, Seattle in 1953. Roberta married Richard Diemert June 5, 1954. They had 5 children together, Douglas Eugene, Laura Lee, Wanda Carol, Bradley Eugene, Cheryl Kay. Roberta had 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Douglas (newborn) and Wanda (age 5) and both her parents. Roberta married Clifford A. OHara on October 9, 1987. They enjoyed their retirement together building a cabin, traveling and keeping the family close. They were always helping someone in the family as well as hosting family holiday parties. Roberta will be missed for her kind, helping nature. She set an example for everyone of how to live a good Christian life of loving kindness, charity, humility and grace. A celebration of Robertas life will be held at Edmonds Lutheran Church on December 8, 2012 at 12:00 PM. Recn to follow.
