Lawrenceburg, Kentucky Rodney Alan "Rod" Murphy, 63, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Lexington, husband of Elizabeth Lacefield Murphy died Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was born in Williamson, West Virginia son of the late William Woodrow and Helen Solovey Murphy. He was a retired Master Electrician with ITW Power Train. He had served in the US Air Force. Surviving besides his wife are his 2 daughters, Shirley Jane (Tyler) Gilliam of Nicholasville, Lucille M. Murphy of Lawrenceburg; 1 brother, William Murphy of Nicholasville and 5 grandchildren, Jaxon Xavier Flora, Taylor Paige Murphy, Alysa Nicole, Mariah Rose and Addison Grace Gilliam. Funeral Information A visitation will be 11-1pm, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Funeral will follow. Burial will take place at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
