Vales was born on June 16, 1955 in Inglewood, California to father Max D. Murray and mother Charlotte M. Matthews (both deceased). He moved to Seattle in 1967 with his parents, brother, Dave (deceased), and his sisters Michelle and Carla. Vale attended Ridgecrest, Cordell Hull, James Monroe and Ballard High Schools. Vale met Janet in 1983 and they were married at Incline Village, Nevada on July 11, 1984. In October of 1986 Vale and Janet bought their home in October 1986 in Shoreline, Washington. He held many different types of jobs including paper routes, welding at foundries and shipyards, fishing in Alaska, and driving an ss van. Some of the warehousing jobs he worked at were Atlas Construction, UW Medical Hospital and Boeing Aerospace where he worked for 21.5 years in Tool Storage Materials Management. He especially enjoyed his job with ss helping those with special needs. Vale was a member of AA for 25+ years where he helped and sponsored others. He loved to help others and cared about all animals especially the familys 3 -year-old English Springer Spaniel, Sonny. Vale loved his wifes homemade meatloaf, lasagna, spaghetti and chili. One of his favorite restaurants was Scotts where he would order the Rigatoni Bolognese. He also loved ice cream and the root beer at the Ram restaurant. He also enjoyed going to concerts, watching action movies starring Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, Bruce Lee and John Wayne; and looking at antique and classic cars. Whether Vale went to concerts or on vacation, he bought many hats and shirts. Vale loved to travel with his wife to places such as Tahiti, Cook Islands, Mexico, Hawaii, and Grand Cayman. He loved to watch her pick up hermit crabs and walk along the beach. He loved telling stories and had a great sense of humor. Vale is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet, 6 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
