Online Obituaries for Frankfort, Ky Frankfort-Frances Thurman Turner, 79, wife of Mark L. Turner of Frankfort, Ky. went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2014 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center, after a long illness. The daughter of the late Frank Thurman and the late Helen Yount Woolums. Frances was lifelong resident of Frankfort, she was born on April 15, 1935. She was a homemaker and a special babysitter to numerous children over the years. She was a member of First Church of God Frankfort and American Legion Unit 7 Women's Auxillary. In addition to her husband, Mark, she is survived by 3 children; Larry Mark (Deborah) Turner of Lawrenceburg; Dianna Turner (Bobby) Mefford of Lawrenceburg and Stephanie Ann Turner (Scott Sowash) of Frankfort. She was special "GrannyTurner" to her 3 grandchildren; Joshua and Jacob (NaBeth) Turner, Laura Ashley (Jeremy) Rogers and 1 step grandson Josh (Ashley) Mefford. She also had 6 great grandchildren that was the "Joy" of her life; NaKayla, Bailey, Logan, Morgan, Hunter and Aliyah; 4 step great grandchildren. Wanda, a very special caregiver was always by her side. Funeral Information Visitation will be on Sunday October 26, 2014 from 2-7 PM at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Services will be Monday October 27, 2014 at 11 AM with Pastor Thomas Denney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Mefford, Joshua Turner, Jacob Turner, Scott Sowash, Jeremy Houghlin, and John Mullins. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post and the Ladies Auxillary; John Baldwin, Risque Turner, Jasper Curtis, Cecil Johnson, Ed Jordan; her nephews, Gary Logan, Henry Logan, Eric Brumback, Eddie Turner, Ray Turner, Mike Turner, Kenny Turner, David Turner, and Larry Traugott; her nieces, Ruby Arnold, Debbie Yokely, Tracy Thurman, Joy Brumback, Lisa Domeck, and Donna Sue Harp.
