George Joseph Bunker Sr.

Frankfort, KY George Joseph Bunker, Sr., 65, husband of Vicke Bunker, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016. He was born in Jefferson County on June 4, 1951 and was an accountant for Thomas King and the Frankfort Housing Authority prior to his retirement. George enjoyed camping, UK basketball games at the pub, and spending time with friends. In addition to his wife of 46 years, George is survived by his daughter Kerensa A. Bunker, Frankfort; his sons George J. (Sheri) Bunker, Jr., Frankfort; Brandon C. (Rachel) Bunker, Frankfort; his sisters Mary Martin Bunker, Lexington; Debby (Kerry) Trinkle, Louisville; Dana ( Scott) Stallings, Louisville; Denise (Larry) Caswell, Shepherdsville; his brother Danny (Sue) Tyra, New Albany, IN; his grandchildren Joseph Madison Martin Bunker; Austin Goebel; Aaliyah Mitchell; Donnevin Bunker; Landen Bunker; Justin Bunker; and Hayden Sargent. He was preceded in death by his father Martin G. Bunker; his mother Mary B. Polin Bunker; and his birthmother Doris Logsdon Tyra. Funeral Information Funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Highland Christian Church. Rev. Scott Rollins will officiate. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be David Whittaker, Jerry Vance, Joseph Bunker, Matt Mitchell, Justin Bunker, and Paul Strickland. Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Additional Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 until start of service at the church.
