Bonnie Jean Olsen
May 19th, 1923 - March 12th, 2014
Bonnie Jean Olsen passed away at Evergreen Hospice Center on March 12, 2014. She was born on May 19, 1923 in St. Paul, Minnesota to George and Louisa Johnson. She married her husband Marshall during World War II, and they had four children together. The family moved from St. Paul to Seattle in 1955 and then to Edmonds in 1961. She worked as a secretary for a custom house broker and then as a buyer for an aerospace manufacturer. She retired early in 1984, due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is survived by her three children, Tom (wife, Kathy) Diana, and Linda; her seven grandchildren, Susanne (husband, John), Darrin, Michael, Mark, Lisa (husband Mike), Ryan and Renee; and her seven great- grandchildren, Stephanie, Josh, Gabe, Nathan, Zachary, Katie, and Reece. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband Marshall; youngest son, Peter; mother Louisa; father George; and brother George. She was a very strong independent woman and loved God, her family, and friends so very much. Bonnie devoted the last 50+ years of her life to Edmonds Lutheran Church and was active in bible studies, teaching, Stephen ministries, and the main contact for the prayer chain. Her strong belief in the Lord and her constant support to others was a true inspiration. We love you Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma, Bonnie, and Aunt Bonnie, you gave us more love and support than anyone could ever imagine and youll be missed so much. We know youll always be with us and be our angel in heaven forever.
