R. Scott Hutchison
July 29th, 1950 - April 5th, 2014
Robert Scott Hutchison was born in Seattle, Washington on July 29, 1950. He passed suddenly on April 5, 2014 at Swedish Hospital, Edmonds surrounded by his family. Scott graduated from the University of Washington in 1972 with a degree in ceramic engineering. He went on to attend the University of Puget Sound where he graduated in 1975 with a law degree. Scott had a long established law practice at Hutchison and Foster in Lynnwood, WA. Scott is survived by his wife Theresa; his children Rob (Lesha) Hutchison, Audrey (Jared) Dyson, Adam Hutchison; stepdaughter Cameron Fay; grandchildren Kai, Amara, and Brielle Hutchison; sisters Laurie (Dan) McKinley, Clair (Sterling) Watkins; and brother Craig (Laura) Hutchison of Roseville, California. Scott loved to golf, play tennis, and snow ski. He was an avid fan and 40-year season-ticket-holder of U of W Husky football and basketball, often traveling out of state to New York, Oregon, Illinois, Indiana, and Hawaii to cheer his beloved Huskies on. He was committed to the service of others serving for more than 25 years at Edgewood Baptist Church in Edmonds. He served the United States Jaycees as Washington State President in 1985-86. His gregarious and infectious laugh, boundless energy, generosity and kindness will be missed. A memorial service will be held at Edgewood Baptist Church on 76th Street, Edmonds, on Thursday, April 17th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation. Announcement: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
