John Robert Kallstrom

Bob passed away peacefully on May 17, 2014 with family at his side. He was born Feb. 16, 1925 to John A. and Alice Kallstrom in Edmonds, WA. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Mable Kallstrom, son Jay Kallstrom (Jacque), daughter Kim Kallstrom (Pat), 2 grandchildren Jeff Kallstrom (Alison), Lisa Downing (Jacob), three Great Grandchildren Braden Lucy Kallstrom and Chloe Downing, and sister Barabra Sprinkle. Bob graduated from Edmonds High School in 1943. He enlisted in the Navy after graduating and was stationed in Guam. Upon discharge from the Navy returned to Edmonds and married his high school sweetheart Mable in July 1946. They resided in Edmonds until 1986 when they moved to Granite Falls. In 2000 they moved to Marysville. Bob retired from the PUD in 1976 and then traveled the world on many cruises. He and his wife spent summers fishing in Alaska and Winters in Yuma Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Alice Kallstrom, son Karl Kallstrom, Grandson Michael Kallstrom and brother George Kallstrom. A private graveside service will be held May 28 at 11am at Restlawn Memorial Park Edmonds, WA for family. A memorial Celebration will be held June 7 at 2pm at the Granville Grange 9401 163rd NE Granite Falls, WA In lieu of flowers please donate to Snohomish County Hospice
