Floyd T. Bergdahl
December 9th, 1916 - March 6th, 2015
Born December 9th 1916, Floyd Theodore Bergdahl Sr. was blessed with a long, full life lasting 98 years. Floyd was born in Plummer, Minnesota. His parents were Alfred Elsie Amelia Carlson Bergdahl and he grew up the eldest of five children. He had four sisters, Babe, Marlene, Veora Joyce and a brother, Ray. They lived on a farm in North Dakota. Floyd served our country as a chauffeur for Army Generals in Brisbane, Australia during World War II. Not long after his service ended he met and married his beautiful wife, Elsie. They married in 1949 and it didnt take long before they had two children, daughter Anita and one year later their son Floyd Jr (Bud). As a family they moved to Mountlake Terrace, Washington just a year after Floyd Jr. was born. Floyd Sr. supported his family by working at US Plywood until finding a job as a foreman for American Strevelle until his retirement in 1981. Floyd continued to love his wife Elsie until her death in 1989. After her passing, he spent his time with family and friends, as well as doing his number searches and watching local sports. On March 6th, 2015 at 10:38pm, Floyd went to be with his beloved once again. He was with family as he met his Lord and Elsie in their palace in the sky. He will be missed here on earth by his two children Anita and Floyd Jr with wife Cherilee, five grandchildren Angela, Erik, Jesse, Shannen Aubrey and his 8 great grandchildren Michael, Daynika, AJ, Sydney, Chloe, Elliana, Mackendric Norah.
