Archie R. Adams
September 14th, 1924 - January 5th, 2015
Versailles Archie R. Adams, 90, husband of Mary Margaret Adams, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015. He was born in Clintonville, Kentucky to the late John E. Adams, Sr. and Letha Doyle Adams on September 14, 1924. Mr. Adams was a lifelong farmer and a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II in the conflict at Normandy Beach, France. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Margaret (Fred) Lane, Versailles, Geneva (Elvis) Donaldson, Lexington, John (Mary) Adams, Versailles and Sharon Adams Richter, Versailles; his brothers, Robert A. Adams, Winchester and Roy Lee Adams, TN; and his grandchildren, Laura (Dennis) Hensley, John A. Adams, Katherine Adams, Jason Adams, Rebecca Richter and Adam Donaldson. Archie was preceded in death by two brothers, John E. Adams, Jr and Matt O. Adams. Funeral Information Graveside service will be 1pm Friday at Clintonville Cemetery in Bourbon County with Rev. Vernon Adams officiating. Casketbearers will be Lindsey Prebble, Kelly Adams, Vernon Adams, Don Adams , and Larry Adams John A. Adams , Jason Adams and Smith Donaldson, and Dennis Hensley. Honorary Casketbearers are his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday 4-7pm at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.
