Obituary Charles "Charlie" Howard, 84, husband of Readth Howard, died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his Lexington home. He was born March 3, 1927 in Woodford County, Kentucky to the late John Wallace and Lena Phillips Howard. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from IBM. In addition to his wife Readth, he is survived by his two step-daughters, Stephanie Venters and Sharon Meek; four step-grandchildren; one great step-granddaughter; his brother, Richard Dale Howard of Scott County; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Tom Cooper. Charlie was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marion and Mildred; and brothers, John Alan, Elmo, Jim, Bobby and Joe. Funeral Information No services are scheduled at this time. Interment will take place in Lexington Cemetery at a later date.
