Elizabeth Theresa Mather

Elizabeth Theresa Mather (nee Stefanowicz)Elizabeth passed away on August 1, 2016 in Seattle, Washington. She was born on April 28, 1931 in Bayonne, New Jersey.Elizabeth is survived by her son Robert Mather, daughter-in-law Barbara, and her two grandsons Justin and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ensign Beth Anne Mather in 1984.Elizabeth served in the United States Navy, and was an active member of the Edmonds Veterans of Foreign Affairs Post, including a past Quartermaster. Following the death of her daughter, she was a co-founder of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, a self-help organization for bereaved parents and siblings.A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on August 19, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 630 7th Avenue N in Edmonds, WA.
