Dakota.As a young man Lloyd served his country. Some of his fondest memories and greatest stories came from his years in the U.S. Army (1952-1955) and U.S. Army Reserves (1955-1963). During his service years Lloyd was able to travel the world and gained experiences that impacted his life forever. Lloyd graduated from North Kitsap High School where he was known as an athlete and a scholar. He played football, ran track and was elected Vice President of his Senior Class. Lloyd then attended Olympic College before going onto Seattle Pacific College; where he received his B.A. Degree in math and science education. Lloyd continued on at Seattle Pacific College going on to receive a M.A. Degree in Public School Administration. He then attended Seattle University where he obtained a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Lloyd was a master teacher that educated students for over 30 years in the Seattle Public School District. He taught mathematics, science and physical education. Lloyd also coached track, cross-country, football and basketball. After a full day of teaching at Roosevelt High School Lloyd would head over to North Seattle Community College where he was an instructor in mathematics for the evening program.After his retirement Lloyd loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed projects around the house, working in his yard and visiting others. Lloyd found great pleasure in assisting others and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was known for lending you anything you might need, sharing kind words of advice and playing a joke or teasing you when you least expected it. Lloyd was a man of great faith and was a member of the Shoreline Community Church. Lloyd loved God and openly shared his beliefs with others. He loved and cherished his church friends.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his family: wife MS Gothic;MS Gothic Bonnie, daughter Faye and son-in-law Karl, son Steve and daughter-in-law Danette, and his grandchildren: Sarah, Paul, Melissa, Emily and Kyle.Lloyd will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
