Lula Belle Hillard

Frankfort – Lula Belle Hillard, 90, widow of Bill Hillard, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was a native of Frankfort and was born on May 6, 1927 to the late William and Pearl Shingleton Hedden. She was a member of Victory Chapel for 50 years where she served as the secretary and treasurer for 35 years. Lula retired from Franklin County Public Schools as a bus driver. She was the 1st female bus driver in Franklin County. She is survived by her daughters, Reeda (Tony) Payton – Tackett, Frankfort; Lillian Johnson, Frankfort; her son, Doug (Judy) Hillard, Georgetown; her 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Corrine. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Kevin Hillard, Wayne Troxell, Keith Payton, Chris Payton, Blake Brophy, Devin Hillard, and Julian Payton. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.clarklegacycenter.com.
