Rhonda Gail Cunigan McKinney, 50, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018. Wife of John Wesley McKinney, Jr, Rhonda was born November 9, 1967 to the late Robert Cunigan and Christine Sebree Cunigan Guffey in Woodford County, Kentucky. A member of the Hazel Green Church of God, Rhonda enjoyed people. She was a librarian at Red River Elementary School and loved the time she got to spend with the students, as well as her own children. When Jesikka, Robert, and Jeremy were younger, they would often vacation in Gatlinburg making sure to hit all of their favorite spots and partake in their favorite foods. She was very thrifty, so shopping sale racks was a guaranteed adventure. In addition to her loving husband, Wes, Rhonda is survived by her children, Jesikka McKinney, Richmond, Robert McKinney, Hazel Green, and Jeremy McKinney, Hazel Green; several loving brothers and sisters; and step father, Wendall Guffey, Millville. Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Guffey; father, Robert Cunigan; and a brother, Edward Shyrock. A Funeral Service will be held 12:00p, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort, officiated by Violet Combs and Charlie Brewer, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00p, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Cunigan, Rex Cunigan, Richard Shyrock, Jamie Roark, Matthew McKinney, and Crockett Cosby. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be sent to the Red River Elementary School Library, Co Rd 1058, Hazel Green, KY 41332.
